DIY Party: Super Hero Birthday Party Printables & Decorations
Beth Kassay
Tamar, of Tamar Invitations, and her Alice In Wonderland invitation were a smashing success for Lily’s Mad Hatter Tea Party Birthday, I knew she would be the perfect individual to design Zach’s Super Hero Birthday decorations, invitation, and games. I sent Tamar some information on Zach's Favorite Super Heroes, and a few key phrases to add (i.e. Wonder Mom, Super Dad, etc); Tamar was well on her way to designing the perfect invitation, place cards, party favors, birthday banner, water bottle labels, AND party games! Zach's Birthday Invitation included a "Calling to all Super Heroes," meeting at a Secret Lair, and RSVP'ing to Wonder Mom & Super...

I swear, I scoured the internet for Alice In Wonderland paper to print invitations onto and there was nothing, nada, zero! All I wanted to do was find printer paper with an Alice in Wonderland theme which I could simply print Lily’s invitation onto… After searching for a whole day, I finally threw in the towel… When I stumbled upon an Etsy seller, Tamar, of Tamar Invitations, and her Alice In Wonderland inspired invitation. This invitation was perfect for Lily’s Wonderland Tea Party, it was not the typical Alice characters and icons, while the icons for the main characters are...

Wait until you taste this little yum-tastic dessert, I'm proud to say I created for Zach's Lightning McQueen Birthday Party... Remember dirt cake? Basically a potted plant made from crumbs of Oreo cookies. Do you remember the issue with dirt roads from the movie?? Lightning McQueen cannot turn on dirt and his Best Friend Tow Mater teaches him how to turn on dirt. From here I was up and racing… I planned to back Cookies N' Cream Cupcakes, but to be honest with you, I Cheated! Yep, I used regular old, everyday boxed cake mix to make these delicious Dirt Cake...

I'm so happy I am not the only person with an unhealthy obsession with Labeling Party Food to coordinate with with the Party Theme! I started with 2 lists; one list of my food items, second list of Cars Characters. I matched certain food with specific Cars Characters which were good matches and then altered the names of the food slightly to coordinate with the Cars theme. Then I got crafty. I dug deep into my creative Mary Poppins’ Bag for some supplies: Photoshop (really, I don’t have Photoshop, it is the photo program which came with our camera) – to...
DIY Party: Ballerina Birthday Party

After celebrating Lily’s first birthday this last weekend with friends and family, I couldn’t help but share her special day! Weather… Holy Cow! Was it hot, or what?? I never claimed to be a meteorologist, but on the Thursday night before the party, while watching the weather, as I heard “Saturday will be the hottest day of the summer…” I nearly froze. Lily’s party was going to be at noon, at the height of the heat. I pulled some positive thinking out of my Mary Poppins bag: decided to fill the kiddie pool, grab some water squirters, crank up the AC,...
